Success Stories

Merry Fishmouse from TJ!

"Just wanted to let you know that I cried and howled when I left all my friends over there because I really missed you and was kind of scared to be on the outside. You know, I got rather co-dependent from having been a life-er at your place and just wasn’t sure for a while that I’d know what to do with all my new found freedom. But now I like having space of my own where I can come and go as I want and I’m not locked up like some kind of animal or something. I am settling in nicely here with my new folks.

Love from Mozart...

"Hello feline and human friends at Simply Cats, it's me, Mozart! My human wanted me to write and let you all know how things are going. Life is great here. I have a kitty friend named Despy - she was a child mommy of 2 and left at the shelter here. My human adopted her in October. It took Despy and I awhile to want to play with each other, but as time passes, we find ourselves chasing each other through the house. It is so much fun. My human is always home because she works from home as a pet groomer.

The Spratman!

This story in as a Happy holidays 2009..."Wow! What a cutie! We just love our Jack Sprat! We fell in love with him about 3 months ago and couldn't resist adding him to our family. He is one of the best kitties we've ever had the privilege of sharing our home with. He follows us from room to room like a dog, and can't wait until we cook something new or add something different to the house, like the Christmas tree! He is a bathroom and kitchen cat - always getting into water whenever possible. He absolutely LOVES catnip! And, he is making friends with everyone in the household.

Wylie ("Mallet") Purring Up A Storm

Here is an update on Mallet, renamed Wylie. We got him in May. He has really grown and is full of energy. His loud purring hasn't changed. He loves being in his cat tree and also sitting in the windows. I'm so glad we got him.

Peachy Gets Hugs Every Day

Simply Cats Staff,

I just wanted to send these photos of me and let you know I love my home. The old dog is my friend and I have several places to scratch and play. I have been here since July 1, 2008, and Christine (age 11) loves me and hugs me every day!

Thank you!

Peachy

Princess Maggie (MaQuesta)

Hi Jerimi,

Princess Maggie (the biggest puddle of love ever) wanted to send you her camping picture! She loves to ride and stay in our camper. Of course she has to have her toys. She is just a doll! Hope all is well with you and the kitties.

Skyler is the Coolest Cat Ever

I just wanted to let you know how Skyler is doing. Sam renamed him Tiger, on account of the stripes he has. He is the coolest cat ever, really. J Even the first night he was in his new home, he was out & about, getting to know his new surroundings. Never spent time under a bed or hiding, like I think most cats do at first.

Mom & Sam bought him a bunch of new toys. He actually fetches, which is hilarious. When they throw his toys down the stairs, he’ll go get them & bring them back up. He loves sitting in the flower box on the back porch, but never tries to leave the yard, which is wonderful.

He was exactly what Sam & Mom, needed in a pet. He sleeps with them, naps on laps & causes just enough mischief to be entertaining. ;) Last night he was actually chasing my 4yr old back & forth across the lawn playing with him. I’ve never seen a cat do so well with toddlers, it was the cutest thing. We’ve all fallen totally in love with him. So, thanks to Simply Cats again, for another forever family addition.

Graceful Adopters, Grateful Kitties

Dear Simply Cats,

Thank you so much for Abby's baby picture. She is now called "Grace" whose Christian definition is "something good that you don't deserve." She is a lovely cat. She runs and plays and talks to herself, often sleeps with us, and comes up on our laps to be held like a baby.

Domino is now "Robin" and she is a cute little bird who wrestles with Grace and washes Grace's face. She runs the length of the house and tosses toys in the air.

We hope you don't worry about them for we love them a lot already and will give them as good a life as we can.

Sincerely,
Gerald, Kathy, Grace, and Robbin

Andy Makes a House into a Home

Hey there! Andy has been pestering me to give you an update on how he is doing.

I honestly think Andy is the best thing that has ever come into our lives; He is so compassionate and loving. He just wants to love you, unlike our other cat, who wants loving on her terms. He just will look up at you with his big eyes and snuggle into your lap, or at your feet, or right next to you, as long as you know he is there, and as long as you show him love.

Dusty Gets a Nifty New Name

Hello,

I adopted the cute gray kitten known as "Dusty" about a month ago and I thought I'd send in an update. I hope I have the right email! If not, let me know. Dusty, whose name I changed to "Tristan" is doing very well. I've attached some pictures of her playing with her favorite new toys, and she and I are having a great time together. Thanks!

Hannah
