Skye finds True Love
Skye is one of the best decisions I have made in a while! Thank you simply cats! I couldn't have asked for a better companion. Skye is the sweetest boy I know and gives me kisses every morning. I always give him my sweetest words and scratches before I leave and when I get home ALWAYS... to let him know he feels loved and I am so happy for him to be there. My love for him is neverending and I know he feels the same for me. You can tell he is happy to be where he is... in a tender, caring, loving home!
He has well adjusted too. His favorite spots are at the end of my bed and laying on my chest when I watch tv, his very own fluffy pillow, and sitting on my keyboard when I play... I love him!! He is my pride and joy and he will be by my side til the end of days.
Some cats come and go, but this sweet kitty has touched my life. There is just something about his personality and his gorgeous eyes. He was meant to be my cat so thank you guys again, just wanted you to know Skye is doing very excellent in his new home but will never forget you guys and where he came from and that's why I decided not to change his name. He will always be my beautiful amazing Skye :)

By the way, we absolutely ADORE Bonzai (Rusty). He is such a character and has brought so much love and warmth to our home. We're looking forward to trying to keep him out of the Christmas tree this year.
And a woman who works with my husband adopted Huey and Dewey, she loves them too.

Pongo (Traveler) and Loki (Scotty)
Here is a picture of Pongo. Is is an amazing kitty. He loves to play with the dog's caterpillar, which is bigger than he is.
And here's our other fabulous kid. He doesn't look like much trouble in the pictures, but you all know what he's like:o) The dog bed Loki is lying in belongs to the dog we were taking care of. The dog is whimpering at my feet while I take this picture, have just tattled on the mean kitty who kicked him out of his bed.
The focus here is Pongo attacking the poor dog's butt. Poor dog!
Lessons in Trust and Faith
Georgette was brought to Simply Cats after being hit by a car. She was in bad shape, and went immediately to a pet E.R. for help. After finding out her pelvis was broken, the shelter had some hard decisions to make. As a private, nonprofit organization, the shelter exists on a slim budget and on the kindness of strangers, as well as people who donate regularly. Also to be taken into account was the fact that, even after the procedure, Georgette might not heal properly.
Waldorf Has Settled Right In
Hi Sheri,
This is Andrea, Waldorf's mom and I wanted to give you an update. Firstly, we renamed Waldorf and his new name is Uno(not only because of his one eye, but because I love the card game too). Most of the time I call him Guno though because he is such a nut!
As soon as I got him home he fit right in. He didn't hide at all and just wandered around like he had been living here for years and then promptly took a nap on the bathroom floor. I made him a bed on top of the dresser where he liked to sleep and although he slept there briefly, he thought it was more fun to sleep in the top drawer if I left it open. Now he sleeps in the bed with me and he likes to get under the covers.
He and his sister Little quickly worked out their differences (he wants to play, she does not). Uno has made a terrific companion for Little and has helped her recover from her grief since her brother Smokey died. Uno has made a huge impact on her well-being and if it weren't for him, she would have never recovered. It took her a bit to warm up to him because he is a kitten with a lot of energy, but he has been very persistent yet patient with her.
Also, Uno learned how to fetch. I am attaching a picture of him bringing back his favorite fetching toys, mylar crinkle balls. Thank you for being so understanding about my sensitive situation (the loss of my 17 year old cat) when I was there and for helping me pick out just the right new family member. Also, thank you so much for the work you do in our community, not only for its members, but also for animals in need. I truly appreciate the work you do and appreciate the connection you helped facilitate with our new family member, Uno.
Sincerely,
Andrea
Gretchen & Stubby
We just wanted to let everyone at Simply Cats know how well Stubby and Gretchen are doing in their new home. Although they have their moments when they're not too fond of each other, they certainly love getting loads of attention from David and I. Stubby is such a lover and will follow me around the house, chatting with me about whatever is on his mind. And Gretchen is a silly girl who's quite content sitting on the bathroom counter, waiting for us to turn on the water so that she can drink out of the faucet. Yes, we have a faucet licker on our hands! Both are fond of the heated cat cup and heated pad we have for them ~ and they're doing their best to get used to our trimming their nails.
We're so very happy to have them in our home. They are living the plush life!
Many thanks to Simply Cats for uniting us with these two beautiful souls.
Warmest regards,
Mary and David
Jewels
Hi Heather,
I wanted everyone at Simply Cats to know how wonderfully Jewels is fitting into our family! Here she is doing some of her favorite daily activities. Jewels likes to help me work at my computer. When she is bored with that, she spends her time watching the birds and squirrels outside of my office window. She follows me everywhere and we spend our days together chatting, clucking at the birds, and enjoying each others company. She is such a love and so entertaining! Tell everyone at Simply Cats "Hello" from us.

Freya's New Family
Hi Brenda! Just wanted to let you see Freya help Taylor do home work.

Pablo (Fume')
Dear Sheri,
I adopted a kitten from you on Saturday. The kitten was named Fume', but was renamed by my grandson. His new name is Pablo. I am so happy to have Pablo and he has adapted beautifully to his new home. My two dogs were curious at first but now they just act like he has been here forever. My two cats are getting used to him. There was a lot of hissing and growling for a day, but all seems to be well. He is the sweetest kitten and I am happy I chose him. He enjoys watermelon (tiny pieces) and a taste or two of oatmeal. Go figure. I bought him lots of toys, which he just loves. My other two cats enjoy playing with the toys too. I will send you pictures and keep you updated on his progress.
I also wanted to tell you, again, how impressed I was with your facility. I have never seen an animal shelter so clean and well kept. All the cats looked so healthy and happy and I hope they all find new and loving homes soon. Thank you again for my beautiful new "baby."

Dora
Dora has been a great addition to our family. She loves to sit on my lap or shoulder while I work (she also enjoys stepping on the keyboard and attacking the cursor on the screen). She is also slowly getting used to our dogs. We all love her.
