Simply Cats

Hello from Simply Cats my feline friends. February was a great month for adoptions as we saw over 30 kitties go to new homes. But we also have some sad news to report.

December is my favorite month of the year. It's Christmas season! You know what I like most about Christmas? The Christmas Tree. I'm famous at Simply Cats for sneeking out of my room and hiding underneath the Christmas Tree. Although it's fun for me, most of the humans would prefer that I stay away from the Christmas Tree. I think it's a pretty common problem with kitties, so this December I decided to leave you all a few ideas how to keep your kitty out of the Christmas Tree!

Cat Aging

As I watch over the operations here at Simpy Cats, I notice that many of our fellow seniors, like me, do not get adopted as fast as all the cute little kittens. People are afraid to adopt an older cat because they think that it is on its last life. Well, I'm here to tell you that Senior cats need a home just as bad as any--and cats are altogether living longer lives.

As we begin to take in more kitties here at the new shelter, the staff has decided to designate a room just for FIV cats. FIV is something near and dear to my heart since I have been living with the disease for some years now.

I've noticed that it is common for people to think that a cat who is diagnosed FIV positive cannot live a long and healthy life. Also, people commonly think that if they adopt an FIV cat, they will be stuck paying enormous veterinarian bills.
