Mercury: Female
I appear to be just as quicksilver as my name implies. I'm skittish and very scared in my new room. In my fear, I sometimes hiss or even try to scratch. Luckily, I'm a regular wearer of Softpaws so I can't do much damage with my claws. My heart is scared to trust so I need lots of reassurance. I had a rough start, and didn't get enough socializing as a kitten so I'm fairly wild. I absolutely hate having my ears or head touched, but I do like gentle strokes and scratches on my back from someone I know. I need a quiet home where someone will be able to work with me daily. Earning my trust would be an act of deep love and patience. You will be amazed when I blossom. Cats like me, who take some time and loving kindness, often turn into the most loyal kind of kitty companion.
