Hey it’s me Crystal; I’m just chillin’ at my new pad, living the good life. So far I’m having a pretty good summer, sleeping in late, lounging in the sun, begging for treats as needed.

They tell me I’m starting to mellow out. I’m feeling a little less “ice cube” and a little more “luv-bug ” these days, if you know what I mean. I Kind of like my new found karma.

Way to go kitties!

Since opening in October, we have assisted 286 families, providing over 2,500 pounds of food to keep cats in their homes rather than being relinquished to an uncertain future. But now our Food Bank shelves are bare and we are in desperate need of the community's help to restock them.

Donations of any dry or canned cat and kitten food will be gratefully accepted and may be dropped off Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Spring is here and that means that kitten season is right around the corner. In preparation, we are setting a goal to raise $2,009 by May 31, 2009 to help us take care of them.

Please join the cause and bring in your spare change or penny jars. And here are some other ways to help, too: Set up a donation can at work and don't forget to ask your friends, family and neighbors to contribute, too. Kids can also get involved by having a bake sale or setting up a lemonade stand.
